On Friday, October 9, DePasquale The Spa along with Monday’s at Racine hosted Lash of Dreams, an event for women undergoing cancer treatment along with their friends and family. Guests enjoyed complimentary lash, brow, and makeup application and lesson.
“We have all been touched by the heartache of cancer in one way or another,” says Justin DePasquale, Co-Owner at DePasquale The Spa. “Whenever we have the opportunity to help our community, we never hesitate. The Lash of Dreams event was a wonderful way to educate people on how to not only look beautiful but also feel beautiful.”
Monday’s at Racine is a non-profit program that provides complimentary salon and spa services to women undergoing cancer treatment. The goal of their program is to “treat the whole person and not just the disease,” says Cynthia Sansone, President and Founder of Monday’s at Racine. “The mirror can be a powerful tool and it can cut you like a knife or be like a dozen roses so when you can look in the mirror and feel good about yourself it does promote inner healing. Your stress level is down, and you have the ability to fight.”
