Posh Lash Exudes a Sense of Safety and Comfort

Posh Lash

In 2008, Tracy Scrima was working as an occupational therapist when her 36-year-old aunt was diagnosed with stage-3 breast cancer. “I began to explore ways to help my aunt feel and look good again after her treatments,” says Scrima. “I decided to attend Lavish Lash training. My trainer, Crystal Boyd, became my mentor and friend. It was love at first lash! I practiced on everyone and took over Crystal’s clientele when she moved away.”

The 2013 LashBoom conference in Chicago was another pivotal moment in Scrima’s career. “LashBoom taught us Russian Volume —I could finally give my clients a fuller look without damaging their natural lashes,” she says. The next year, Scrima opened Posh Lash in the office of a local eye surgeon. “It gives my clients an added sense of safety and professionalism to know that I’m affiliated with a doctor,” she says. “It’s an amazing feeling when your clients love your work, but the best compliment is when the doctor tells me he’s seen my clients’ eyelashes under the microscope and admires the precision of my work!” Recently, she opened a second Posh Lash location in nearby Lynnfield. “We see about 150 lash clients a week now,” says Scrima, whose new salon also offers brow design and reconstruction in addition to lashes.

The vibe - Cozy, comfortable and safe. To balance the relative sterility of the medical office, Scrima focused on making the lash space warm and relaxing. “Diffused essential oils and candles fill the air. The beds are super comfy and dressed with plush Mongolian lamb pillows and cashmere throws,” says Scrima.

What we love - Scrima specializes in lash correction for droopy lids and asymmetry, as well as lashes for post-chemotherapy patients and trauma and burn victims.

Retail Details - Scrima teamed up with a cosmetic chemist and aromatherapist to create an extension-safe line of skin-moisturizing and lash-cleansing products.

Most popular service - A 2–3D volume set. “It looks and wears well, and it lasts longer than classic,” Scrima says.
