As the summer of 2016 came to a close, an online battle raged: ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” Season Three love-seeker Lace Morris’ lash extensions seemed to negatively steal her scenes—and viewers were quick to pounce. Stomach sleeping and intense humidity likely played a roll in Morris’ lash revolt, but those innocent factors didn’t stop Twitter trolls from relishing in the primetime beauty fail. (Sample tweet: “Is anybody going to start a twitter for Lace’s eyelashes?”) But as one lash distraction emerges in the reality TV realm, a gaggle of gorgeous extensions and strips is waiting in the wings on these unscripted shows.
While these starlets push lush lashes into the spotlight (and likely drive some traffic into lash studios nationwide), some have even started their own lash lines. We take an honest look at the boldest reality TV lash looks to emerge from the boob tube. Warning: These lashes are not for the faint of heart!
Kylie Jenner, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” - As the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner complex, Jenner has cemented her place as the trendsetting beautynista of the crew, boasting lavish lash extensions that she claims to get touched-up every two weeks.
Natalie Halcro, “WAGS” - No doubt, as a social media fashion and beauty influencer, E! “WAGS” cast member Halcro stays tuned in to big makeup trends— and thick lashes tend to drive “Likes.” She’s even admitted to having two go-to pairs of lashes: one for drama (Lilly Lashes by Lilly Ghalichi in Miami) and one for a paired-down look (MAC Lash in 35 Lash).
Lilly Ghalichi, “Shahs of Sunset” - The diminutive former starlet of Bravo TV’s “Shahs” was never seen on-screen without her lush locks and even lusher lashes. Knowing a good thing, she launched her Lilly Lashes by Lilly Ghalichi lash line to incredible fanfare; celebs including Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and the Kardashian clan all clamor for the feathery strips.
Ashley Iaconetti, “The Bachelor” Season 19; “Bachelor in Paradise” Seasons 2 & 3 - After learning her lash lesson from Season 2 (in which she revealed her extensions fell out rather quickly), Iaconetti came back for Season 3 prepared. Despite several crying jags, she managed to keep her lashes completely intact—no running mascara, no telltale lifting of strip edges, nothing. She even debuted her own strip lash line, Lashed by Lashley, for fans who want to look beautiful while sobbing, too.
